About the Instructor:
Audrey Diop RN, BSN, MBA, CDP
Audrey’s career as a nurse has spanned over 40 years. Her passion for education and the desire to help others shaped her nursing career. Starting her nursing career in the NICU, and eventually moving to the PICU, and OB Gyne, she soon recognized her love for maternal child nursing. After serving as the manager of the Maternal Child department at a mid-sized health center, she was encouraged by her director to undertake an ambitious goal: the development of a comprehensive disease management program for the entire Utilization Management (UM) department.
Fueled by her attitude to never stop learning, she went back to school and obtained a master’s in business administration. While developing the disease management program, she worked collaboratively with pharma industry counterparts. This experience pushed her to explore other non-traditional roles within nursing, eventually landing a pharmaceutical sales role.
Twenty years later, Audrey continues to pay it forward with nurses expressing an interest in getting into the pharmaceutical industry. She informally mentors’ new hires. She currently works as a clinical nurse educator and is a certified dementia practitioner.
When not working, Audrey enjoys gardening, baking, and spending time with family. She lives in the suburbs of Chicago with her husband, son, and Teddy, her fur baby.
