Mentorship Overview
The introduction of technology is helping healthcare expand into digital health, but very limited RN positions are available due to the challenge of providing care across state borders. As a fellow nurse who has made the jump into Healthtech, I know first-hand how challenging it can be to translate nursing experience and skill set into a remote job where you are valued. I’ll be using the lessons I had to learn on my own, the hard way, to make the transition smoother.
Nursing is a wonderful background for a plethora of positions in digital health companies, but the titles of these jobs vary greatly. Additionally, the hiring managers aren’t accustomed to understanding how your clinical nursing jobs have directly related skills that match the job descriptions.
This 10-week coaching program is a perfect fit for nurses who want to venture into the new world of digital health and pursue a career with more normal hours, the possibility of remote/hybrid work, and take their future into their own hands.
The course Leveraging Your Nursing Experience for a Career in Digital Health is to be done first, independently for each learner. Coaching calls will last 1 hour.

Week 4: Reviewing available postings for interest
Week 5: Editing your resume for positions of interest
Week 6: Interviewing tips for digital health roles
Week 7: Practicing networking and elevator pitch
Week 8: Tools for the job: discussing resources and skill sets necessary for your new career
Week 9: Talking wardrobe and confidence
Week 10: Professional tips for succeeding and growing: how to set and negotiate salary, equity, and progress in a new field
OPTIONAL: Group networking event. Hop on a group call to meet and network with fellow learners who are making the transition like you!
About the Instructor:
Laura Reese
Laura Reese is a former NICU and Women’s Health RN who has worked in telehealth and digital health companies since 2022. She left the bedside broken: burnt out, low on confidence, and unaware of how valuable her expertise was outside traditional healthcare. She made this career pivot on her own and is interested in saving you the frustration and isolation that she experienced. She now can see how passionate nurses make every company better–it’s like a superpower!
Her career in Healthtech has opened her eyes to better pay, remote work, and work-life integration. It’s helped her health and her confidence. She’d love to help you do the same!
All of the items in this course were very intimidating to her at one time. It’s so much better to do it with a team!
Outside of work, Laura loves adventuring with her husband, Brandon. She takes ice skating lessons, loves to read, and wants to write a book one day. Please don’t hesitate to reach out!
